About the Artist

Jasper Horsey

Jasper grew up on a wildlife conservancy in the foothills of Mount Kenya, where an early fascination with birds and their plumage set the course for a life spent looking closely at feathers. That curiosity became years of travel — through the Amazon, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Borneo, and Sumatra, to the Himalayas and the Andes — gathering feathers ethically along the way. Each sculpture is built by hand from brass, aluminium, and plate metal, and finished with an ensemble of carefully sourced plumage, paying colourful homage to the birds it celebrates.
